I approach gardening as a process of nurturing, shaping, and pruning, proposing that childhood is similarly constructed through the ongoing influence of family, education, media, and social norms rather than existing as a natural state. Centering on the Garden Gnome—a figure suspended between fairy tale, domestic ornament, and commodity—the series places these characters within absurd, playful narratives to imagine alternative possibilities for childhood and question the systems through which it is continually cultivated.
